The peggy hamster cage by Savic can be found in many pet shops and is currently sold in Pets at Home for an average price of £37.99. It has as a good design and lasted me a good time. This cage comes along with a food bowl, water bottle, wheel and built in hideaway home. I will be talking about Design and Look, Durability, hamster enjoyment and Value for Money.

===Design and Look===

This cage has a simple but good design as it includes a second tier and lots of room on the base of the cage which both equal fun for the hamster as there is more room to explore, play and to be able to have a enough room to move around which is important. Another important thing is that hamster's have something they can gnaw on as their teeth never stop growing so a wire cage is an advantage as most hamster's will just gnaw on the bars. Secondly, the wire bars are good because it gives the hamster the room to be able to climb around in his/her cage which the majority of hamsters love doing and that was what my hamster used to always do because he loved it. As there is a part which is covered by the second tier, it is a great place for a hamster to be able to burrow, eat and sleep. Also it would be a good place to be able to put a hamster toilet in one of the toilets which is what I did. The wheel that was in the cage when I bought it was positioned well and does not take to much room in the cage which is good. Another advantage that I found with this cage is that the door is on the top so you can easily put your hand into the cage to get the hamster or food bowl etc. The base of the cage is also very easy to take off as you easily just take the clips off and remove the top half.

Despite these good points, this cage has a couple of disadvantages as well such as the ladder which the hamster uses to get to the second tier is made out of plastic and the hamster can chew on it and as it fits in through tow holes in the floor of the second floor, my hamster kept taking the ladder off when he was chewing it so I has to tape it down with double sided tape. Lastly, the house is built in on the second tier and because of this my hamster would make a burrow and sleep instead of going up there when wanting to sleep or hideaway. Overall, I give the design and look of this cage a 7/10.

===Durability===

As like most cages the base of the cage is very durable because it is made out of a hard plastic and as the cage is made with a wire cage, a hamster cannot chew through the cage or squeeze through the gaps in the wire bars. As i said before, the ladder is not made with the strong plastic as the base is so the hamster can chew on it easily so it is not as durable. The wheel and hide away home are very durable as well and overall, the cage has lasted me a long time with not many problems as it is quite durable and overall, i would give this cage a 8/10 for Durability.

===Hamster Enjoyment====
The most important thing about a cage, is that the hamster will enjoy the cage being it's home. My hamster loved this cage mostly I would think because of the amount of the room in the cage so i can fit a lot of toys, chew toys, an exercise wheel, hide away home, feeding home and hamster toilet in the cage and still have enough room to walk around the cage. Along with this, my hamster was able to climb around the cage because of the wire bars which most hamsters love doing and my hamster was able to gnaw on the bars of the cage. Also as the base of the cage is quite deep, my hamster enjoyed to make a burrow in the part of the cage which was covered by the second tier. As the cage includes an exercise wheel, the hamsters can easily get rid of their energy at night before the go to sleep or just for fun so that is also a good thing. Also as the cage has a second tier and loads of room the hamster can easily explore the cage which they also love doing. Overall, I give this cage an 8/10 for hamster enjoyment.

===Value for Money===

£37.99 is not a bad price for this cage as it has a good design, my hamster loved it and it lasted a long time it is a good price but I think you could find cheaper cages than this one. Also it is a good price as it includes a food bowl, water bottle, exercise wheel and built in hide away home but i would say that £37.99 is an average price for a hamster cage although you could find cheaper cages but overall, for value for money, i would give this cage a 7/10.

===Summary===
In summary, i would definitely recommend this hamster cage as it has a great design and my hamster loved it which is the main point. I would say that you could find cages cheaper than this one but it is still a good price.
