Advantages: Stops the dog from doing its business on your carpet

Disadvantages: The mats can leave a smell

I bought these pads for when my dog was a puppy. We moved into our house and did not have any gates for the first few months, so we needed some where for our dog to do her business, which was not on our carpet. We bought these pads from Pets at Home, unfortunately they are not cheap, but they are worth it if they save your carpets.

The first few times my puppy went to the toilet on our carpet, we showed her the mats and she soon learnt that she should go to the toilet on these mats. The only disadvantage about these mats are that you can still smell the urine on the mats. The mats do disguise some of the odour, however, not all of it and you can be left with the smell of dog urine in the house. As long as the mat is put in the dogs room it is not too bad. We still use these mats when we go out for the day and the dog needs somewhere to go, so they are very useful.
