INTRODUCTION

After a very wet summer, I have decided to clip both of my old English sheep dogs as they were constantly getting muddy and wet, with them both having much shorter hair me and my husband took them to the beach and actually allowed them to go in to the sea.

This was something I had never allowed before as I am the one who has the very demanding job of washing a grooming them, which can take up to six hours for each dog and I was not going to add to the work by letting them get salt water and sand embedded into their coats.

Anyway after letting them into the sea I soon realised that we would need to get a couple of dog towels to chuck in the back of the car, as the dogs seemed to wait until they got back to the car before they would shake off, making it very difficult so actually see out of the back window.

So to solve the problem we decided on taking a couple of old bath sheets with us, to dry them off before they actually get into the car.

WHY I BOUGHT THE TOWEL

Well all the intentions were good and we did use a couple of old bath sheets on few occasions but they seemed to adsorb the salt water very quickly making them damp and soggy and then they did not really dry the dogs off enough to stop the problem.

On one visit I started talking to another lady with her two boxers and she was using a towel that actually looked like a duster, I thought how strange but after seeing that her dogs were perfectly dry and the towels were almost as dry as the dogs, I had to quiz her about this amazing find.

This brilliant towel made by the pet manufacturers snugglesafe, it is a microfibre towel, very similar to the duster and it is 140cm x 76cm making it the perfect size for larger dogs. It is designed to absorb any excess water of dirt from your pets.

The thing that really makes this towel a must have for any pet owner is the fact that it dries up to four times faster than a regular bath sheet, like we were previously using. Now I can pull it out of the washer and hang it over something and within a few hours it is bone dry. This is a real bonus for me as I hate having old dog towels hanging all over the place just waiting for them to dry, and with two rather large dogs these can soon mount up.

The snuggle safe pet towel is so soft to touch and this reflects on the dogs coat itself, after vigorously rubbing they dogs dry with this, their coat seems to stay soft and knot free. This is all new to me as I have always had to brush them if they get wet, but thanks to this I no longer need to.

The towel advertises its self by saying it reduces shaggy hair, matt, static and hair loss and I have to say they are spot on as it certainly does everything it promises.

After I have used the towel on both dogs I must add, I can throw it in the washing machine on a 40 degree wash and hey presto, it comes out all clean and soft. Plus it is almost dry after removing it from the washer so drying times are minimal.

A Large for big dogs, which will cost you £10.99 a towel and a regular size for, £7.99 a towel. I find the big towel is mo0re than adequate to dry off both of my dogs, so I am sure you could get away with a regular size for any dog.

The towel comes in two different colours, red and brown both of which are good colours to prevent the towel for staining when it get muddy.

MY OPINION

This towel is a fantastic little invention that can serve a number of purposes, it can dry off dogs after swimming in the sea, going out in the rain or just to clean off dirty paws. The microfiber dries very quickly and washes up brilliantly every time.

This has helped maintain my dog's coats as it does not ruffle up their hair causing it to matt and tangle, so this has saved me a lot of time in the long run.

I cannot fault this snuggle safe towel as it has proved to be outstanding value for money and it actually works.

I recommend this for any pet owner as I would be lost with out mine.
