... giving up on our old hamster cage as it had pritty much bit the dust me and the girls started looking around for a new cage to house our family of mice, my daughters fell in love with this dazzle critter cage as soon as they spotted it, there was no reasoning with them it was going to have to be this cage. Firstly let me say that critter make lots of different designs of cages not just the one we have brought and they make them in a wide range of colour, sizes and prices so there should be something for every one. ... bought the Crittertrail X for my male syrian hamster Rory. I thought the cage looked fun but small so I also bought a range of add-ons including the snap on wheel, outhouse, lazy lookout and assorted extra funnels. I spent approximately £60 in all. It became obvious quite quickly that the tubes were far too small for Rory as he struggled to push himself through to access his wheel. It was really alarming to see him stretched right out, struggling and squeezing his way through like a caterpillar. It was even more alarming to get home one evening to find his bedding had become lodged in the tube linking the petting area to the main cage. Who knows how long he had been ...
