As we are all trying to count the pennies I am afraid that even the credit crunch has started to have an impact on my poor old cat!

Arthur is 17 this year (he is an old gentleman) and what he likes to eat really varies. In the winter I try to give him meat and in the summer - biscuits, simply because wet food spoils in the heat and he then turns his nose up at it.

I have tried him on a variety of biscuits and was hoping that he would enjoy these. I started off gradually with them, by adding a few to the top of his meat. He is such a clever cat that he ate the meat and scopped off the biscuits. I also tried him just on the crunchies on their own...initially, he would have a munch and then walk off....not looking best pleased. The food is described as being of 'premium ' quality. I couldn't see much difference between these and even cheaper brands to be fair.

They didn't smell too nice either, some have an almost cheesy smell which Arthur seems to enjoy, but these just had a cardboard smell to them.

Although they were reasonably priced (check at www.tesco.com for the most up to date price) they did nothing to tease the tastebuds of my lovely old man....so I won't be buying them again!

Summary: Buy only in an emergency!
