Review of Tesco Premium dog food ~~The Product~~ A tinned dog food suitable for adult dogs. Tesco own brand premium dog food is a regular in my shopping trolley. Ever seeking a bargain, I switched my dog's diet from branded dog meats to this alternative around a year ago. The product comes in a plastic wrapped 6 can pack. Each can weighs in at 400g and the pack contains 2 cans each of chicken, beef and heart and lamb flavours. The cans are easy to open by means of a ring pull, so no messy tin openers to wash. The meat is firm and evenly cubed within the thick jelly like gravy. As with many dog foods it does smell a ... Read the complete review

My husband and I recently adopted Biscuit, a Miniature Schnauzer from a rescue shelter. When she arrived in our home we tried various brands of dried dog food and each was flatly refused. It was then that we decided to try her with moist food and to mix a few of her biscuits in with it to aid the health of her teeth and gums. Tesco Premium Dog Supermeat was the first moist food which we bought for her to sample. I conducted my usual weekly grocery shopping online with Tesco and browsed the available dog food. I've never had to purchase dog food before, but since I got with my boyfriend (who has a gorgeous staffie called Tara) I've been purchasing it regularly. My other half normally buys branded dog food, but keen to show that we can save a few pennies by buying non-branded items I persuaded him to give this a go. In this pack you get six tins with 400g in, two of the cans are chicken and sunflower oil flavoured, two of the cans contain beef and heart and the other two are lamb and rice flavoured. I think it's good that the pack contains such variety, because Tara gets bored when we feed her the same flavoured food day after day and with this multipack there are ... Read the complete review

We have been trying to cut down on our food bill since the arrival of our baby in August so thought it was only fair for our dog to cut down on her food bill too! Having tried various other cheaper brands of dog foods such as the Asda Hero range and Pal it had got to the stage where she would only eat Pedigree Chum or Butchers, both of which are fairly expensive brands. We started her off with a tin of Tescos own supermeat which she really enjoyed. The meat looked no different to Pedigree Chum or Butchers. We have since tried the chunks in jelly and casserole selections and all the varieties seem to have plenty of chunks of meat in them and seem ... Read the complete review
