My husband and I recently adopted Biscuit, a Miniature Schnauzer from a rescue shelter. When she arrived in our home we tried various brands of dried dog food and each was flatly refused. It was then that we decided to try her with moist food and to mix a few of her biscuits in with it to aid the health of her teeth and gums.

Tesco Premium Dog Supermeat was the first moist food which we bought for her to sample. I conducted my usual weekly grocery shopping online with Tesco and browsed the available dog food. This particular brand was very reasonably priced and considering her selectiveness with dried food I decided to buy some. If she refused it would be no great loss at such a low price and we could then move on to other options.

Much to our surprise she wolfed down an entire portion within a minute or so. She most certainly approved! This is now our brand of choice and her bowl is licked clean time and time again.

Tesco Premium Dog Supermeat is packaged in a cellophane wrapper consisting of six or twelve tins, each of which contain 400g. The wrapper is black in colour with the Tesco logo and a picture of a dog. For the purposes of this review I will concentrate on the pack of six cans as that is what is currently in my kitchen cupboard. There are three flavours in each pack, beef and heart, chicken and sunflower oil and lamb and rice.

Tesco Premium Dog Supermeat is also available for puppies and senior dogs alike, however six cans of the regular dog food is currently priced at £2.19 per pack, meaning each can of dog food is a little over 36p.

This product is very cost effective and will not make a dent in your shopping budget. I would certainly recommend giving it a try with even the choosiest of canines!
