My mummy always gives me treats. I'm a very greedy cat, and don't mind admitting this to you. I can't get enough of the Thomas Cat treats though - they are most definitely one of my favourites!
Let me introduce myself to you. My name is Jigsaw, and that's my picture at the top of the page there. Nobody really knows my real age, although the vet thinks I was about eleven when I came to live with my new mummy, and that was over seven years ago, so I'm no spring kitten!
Because of my age, I have had to have two operations to try and fix up my teeth. I have had a lot of teeth removed, and this means that I can struggle with certain foods at times and in particular different brands of treats.
That's why I like the Thomas cat treats. They are a big enough size so that my mummy can half one in two bits for me and I can manage to eat it that way. Otherwise when eating them I would have a bit of a struggle, although it is not impossible!
The taste is delicious which is why I like to shout at my mummy if I see her going anywhere NEAR the cupboard where my treats are stored. Sometimes she is just going in the cupboard for something else, but my goodness if I see her reaching for that door handle I just like to let her know that I am there - in case she has forgotten - should she wish to give me a treat. Sometimes I DO get a treat this way, but not often.
I don't think daddy likes the smell of these treats but oh it just makes my mouth water! They are very strong-smelling which I think is great. Daddy often makes a tutting noise when I am sitting on his lap and he is feeding me these treats. And I think the smell MUST be the reason that daddy decided to start keeping these biscuits in a glass jar with a screw-top lid.
Or maybe it was to stop me stealing them? Ha! I remember the day that mummy had accidentally left the cupboard door open and I had managed to scoop a LOT of the biscuits out of the bag with my paw and scoff them in one sitting! That was a great day! Well, until mummy and daddy noticed the almost empty bag when they came home. - Then I was sent to bed without any supper.
That was around the same time that I noticed daddy keeping the treats in a glass jar. Foiled again!
My mummy says that I can have these treats or the other ones that she buys, but I prefer the Thomas ones. She says it is good that these are my first choice because they are much cheaper and only cost her around 70 pence (whatever those are) for the red-coloured bag, which is 100g in weight. The bag has a picture of a cat like me on the front. .
I let mummy know that these are my first choice because I sometimes curl up beside her on the sofa and purr real loudly when she decides to give me a couple. I don't do that if the treats aren't up to scratch.
She buys the Thomas treats in the same place that she buys my tins of food. I've never been there, but it sounds like a great place as mummy gets me lots of things there like chicken pieces and tinned fish, and of course these treats. It's a place called a 'Soup Market' and it sounds great!
These are my first choice biscuits, and I would award them five stars.
Just thinking that it would be a real shame if that glass jar 'fell' from the worktop and got broken....? :-D
