My cat got this Trixie catnip Mole as part of his Christmas from my mum. He loves to play with toys and is a bit like a dog in that he guards them in his bed and doesn't really like anyone coming near them. The only exception to this is when he brings them to me to throw for him. He only has a few toys that he likes to chase and this is one of them.

The toy is made from a fur material (faux I presume) and is lovely and plush. It doesn't look or feel cheap even though it only costs a few pounds to buy. It is quite detailed for a little cat toy and has a tail, eyes, ears, nose, hands, feet and whiskers. I have to say that I was really impressed with the quality of this toy but then again I think Trixie are a great brand who make really high quality cat toys for not a lot of money.

What makes this little mole a bit different from the usual cat toys is the fact that it has got a little squeak inside it which is really sensitive. My cat loves to play with this toy and I was worried that the squeak might scare him but it doesn't seem to bother him in the slightest. In fact I think it actually encourages him to be a bit more rough with it than he normally would. The funniest thing about him playing with it though is that he always seems to forget that it actually squeeks when he first picks it up and he always drops it in shock before 'attacking' it.

The toy also contains catnip in it. Now my cat can be hit and miss when it comes to catnip. With some catnip he is all over it but with others he doesn't pay it the slightest bit of attention. With this one the catnip must be of a high quality because after a while of playing with it he gets a dazed look and starts rolling on the toy.

My cat absolutely loves this toy and I genuinely believe that it is a fantastic little toy for the money. It is so well made that even after months of playing with it the toy is still more or less in the same condition it was when he got it whereas with some toys they tend to fall apart within minutes of him playing with them.
If you have a playful little moggy at home then get him one of these and if he is anything like mine watch him go mad for it.
