Before we bought our new puppy home there were numerous purchases to be made. A crate for him to sleep in, feeding bowls, toys and bedding to name a few. A dog owning friend advised me to get a vet bed. She had one for her young dog and told me it was the best thing she had bought. I couldn’t find one anywhere in our local pet shops so went on line and found one at pet life. So what is vet bed? Vet bed is not a bed, as the name would imply but a rug. It looks like a sheepskin rug with a green backing, but is in fact made from polyester. It has 2cm thick pile and comes in a choice of colours and sizes to suit all breeds. Vet bed can be used for cats ... Read the complete review

*What is Vet Bed?* Vetbed Original is, as the name suggests, a bedding used for animals which first started out in veterinary surgeries. It is now widely available for domestic use for pets including cats, dogs and small animals. *The product itself* When it comes to choosing bedding for our cats and dogs, we are basically all looking for the same basic things- that it is warm, soft and comfortable for our pets and that's is easily to clean and inexpensive for us, well that's what I always look for anyway! Vetbed is something that ticks all those boxes and more. It first started out in veterinary surgeries, as you may have gathered from ... Read the complete review

Molly, our little dog was a little rescue puppy, and ever since we got her, she's had a lot of problems with her health. I think we've just given into the fact that she's a little dog who's always going to be visiting the vet! A couple of weeks ago, when she was going through another sickly period, I woke up in the middle of the night to find her shivering and trying to squeeze into our bed, despite having her bed full of blankets beside us! As she had been sick a lot, and losing weight, I think she was feeling the cold more than usual. I figured then it was time to get her a new bed, as the blankets she had clearly weren't enough for her. ... Read the complete review

We can't be without Vetbed, but it isn't the slightest bit of use for the purpose for which it was bought! I'd better explain, hadn't I? One of our dogs, a Rhodesian Ridgeback, came to us as a puppy. She was very small then, only about 20cm high and weighing only a kilo or two. We wanted to get her used to all sorts of experiences so one evening when there was a high wind we took her out to let her see that there was nothing to worry about and played with her in the garden. She was running when an exceptionally strong gust of wind threw her into a fencepost. If it happened now that she weighs as much as a small adult she'd demolish the ... Read the complete review

Having read alot of good reviews about vetbed and seen some in various shops I decided the time had come to purchase some. It's available in lots of different patterns and colours these days and the price varies alot from supplier to supplier. I decided to buy some on ebay, I was looking for a piece large enough to line both my lads (cats) carrying boxes so in the winter they're nice and cosy on their regular vet visits. I found a seller who was advertising a piece 50cm x 76cm for £9 including delivery and bought it. I chose a red colour with paw mark pattern and it arrived in 2 days. The vetbed is very deep and fluffy and incredibly warm, I ... Read the complete review
