Advantages: Cheap, good quality food!

Disadvantages: Our Guineas wont eat the squashed sweetcorn...!

We have two very hungry fully grown Guinea Pigs, and we now buy their food in bulk as we find it much easier to buy 15kilos of the stuff at once rather than smaller 5k bags, so thats what we do.

We used to get Gerty Guinea Pig, which was recommended to us by the pet shop, and we bought a 15kilo bag for £30, which we didn't think was bad, until when it ran out we began to look for more, and realised you could get Wagg Guinea Pig food in 15k bags for £10-£15! We were made up, but thought it best if we bought a small bag first to make sure they'd eat it at all!

When we got it, I must admit I wasn't as impressed as with gerty, but seeing as it was a third of the price, its bound to be less quality, and it looked alot better than some stuff you see!!!

It has basically squashed peas and sweetcorn, brown "pellets", and seeds. It is pretty "meaty", big pieces. What we noticed though was that our Guinea Pigs wont eat the yellow pieces of squashed Sweetcorn they just leave them at the bottom of the bowl which is very weird, but other than that they seem to like the food as much as the Gerty, the only thing is that the Wagg food doesn't have any pieces of straw in, which are our guineas fav pieces!!!! So we buy them Timothy hay as a supplement to the hay they sleep on (which is basic hay from the farm!) and give them their daily veg too!!!

Wagg Guinea Pig Crunch is great value for money, especially if your buying in bulk!! Much cheaper than Gerty Guinea Pig, and they seem to like it as much as they liked that! And if your saving yourself £20, well its well worth the shot!!!!!! :-)
