Advantages: Goes down pretty fast and no unpleasant cat food smell
Disadvantages: Random ingredients - not sure about the ash!
This is like junk food for cats! I'm always really careful what I give my cat but another cat owner recommended this as a "treat" bearing in mind that it is junk food.
Ingredients:
This contains roughly 30% protein, part water, preservatives and ash(?!) - so it is proper junk food!
Appearance:
Each pack contains 6 sticks, each stick is individually foiled wrapped - a bit like a peperami! You can get a variety of flavours from the Salmon and Trout to the Chicken and Liver ones so you can always mix the flavours a bit for your cat.
Smell:
There isn't an unpleasant smell, unlike some cat foods but cats do seem to go crazy over these so it must smell something to them!
Response for Jazz the Cat:
My cat (whose 1.5 years old and lives on a diet of iams, felix pouches and the occasional roast chicken) goes absolutely mad over these! At first he was a little apprehensive, but once I broke it down for him, he seemed to really enjoy it and gobbled it down within 30 seconds. You can hold it towards him and feed him that way or just place it in his bowl - either way, it goes down pretty fast!
Jazz now recognises the packet and comes running from the end of the garden when he knows he's getting a treat. He's also terrified of toddlers but I had my 2 year old niece with us the other day. She adores Jazz but Jazz will not go any where near her. As soon as I took out the Webbox and stuck it in the toddler's hands, you can see Jazz toying with the idea of actually going up to her for the treat. And it worked! He came up to her and took the treat so it actually works really well as a way to get your cat to come to you or do something it doesn't particularly want to do (i.e. meeting difficult relatives!).
Overall:
It seems very addictive and I'm weary of the lack of good stuff in the ingredients, so really only use this as a treat. Highly recommended!
Summary: Seems to go down pretty well!
