Disadvantages: interest lost after a while

These cat treats are now sold in most supermarkets and shops such as wilkinsons. For around 80p you get 6 treat sticks all individually wrapped in foil for freshness.

These are only suitable for cats above 6 months so therefore not ok for kittens.

When I first saw these in Tescos I wasn't sure about them but thought that dogs seem to like these peperami type sticks so why not cats. I didn't think my cat would be too impressed but bought them to give them a go.

When I got home I unwrapped one and held it in my hand, without much encouragement the cat came over and gave it a good old sniff. After a bit of scenting he cautiously took it, ran about a metre away and proceded to eat it.

To begin with the cat enjoyed these sticks but over time his interest has wained. He much prefers the Whiskers Temptations which sent him absolutely wappy! I was supprised at this as the Temptations more or less resemble dry cat food which he's not keen on.

I think your cat will either love em or hate em. Give them a go.
