My 21 year old rescue cat Chloe is at a stage in her life now where she really enjoys lifes little luxuries, such as a bowl of warm milk. Many cats, including my Chloe, cannot drink cows milk without getting an upset stomach, so this is where special cat milk comes in. Whiskas cat milk is sold is small 200ml plastic bottles for 57p each or a multipack of 3 bottles for £1.68. The bottles are white and purple with the Whiskas logo and cat, and also the product name on the front. The milk looks much like ordinary cows milk, just prehaps slightly more off-white. If your cat has never had milk before gradually introduce it by giving just a teaspoon or so for a couple of ... Read the complete review

*What is Whiskas Cat Milk?* Well the name is pretty self explanatory really, this treat produced by the Whiskas company is a milk designed specially for cats and kittens, its part of a range that also includes dry food, tinned & pouched foods and treats catering for every life stage of your cat- from a kitten to senior years. *The product itself* Normal cows milk contains a high amount of lactose which is hard for many cats to digest, and often results in upset stomachs and sickness, however there's no denying a bowl of milk is pure ecstasy to a cat, that's where this product comes in, its a specially designed milk that has a lower level of ... I discovered cat milk several years ago, and I've been buying it regularly ever since. It was Whiskas that I bought first, but whenever possible I buy supermarket own brand, however as they don't all make it I do buy Whiskas a lot. Tesco currently sell it for 75p per bottle. Cow milk tends to give a lot of cats an upset stomach, I've never given Snoopy a whole bowl of it but he seems fine with drinking the dregs from my cereal bowl (his morning treat...), however when I'm giving him a portion of milk I give him cat milk just in case. An important point before we go any further is that cat milk (or cows milk) is NOT a substitute for water. Yes it is ... Read the complete review

To be honest despite the fact that you are not supposed to give cats normal milk I always have and have never had a problem, until I got one of my rescue moggies that is. Sooty was in a bad way when he arrived at my house, he was very nervous and under nourished and in fact even the rescue centre weren't sure if this poor little darling would last long despite the fact that he was only around 2 years when he came to live with me. I took a chance as I fell in love with him and thankfully he's now an average weight with glossy fur and a wonderful temperament, although he is not fond of my 21 month old granddaughter but that is simply because she has a habit of stroking ... Because the milk we drink is high in lactose, it means that it upsets the tummys of our furry little friends as most cats are lactose intollerant. I recently got a cat from a rescue home, and as a treat for the first couple of days we had her, we thought we'd treat her with some of the Whiska's cat milk. She absolutely lapped it up, for a 200ml bottle it was 80p from our local asda, so was a little more expensive than the cheaper brands of Cat milk, but its worth it to have a happy and healthy cat. With only 5% lactose, and all the vitamins and minerals your cat needs, to lead a healthy and happy lifestyle. You can buy them as single bottles, or ... Read the complete review
