Whiskas Kitten Pouches Jelly are a really handy thing to feed your new kitten at meal time.
The small pouches come in Chicken, Cod, Turkey and Tuna flavour so they give your kitten a good range of different flavours to try and get used to, which can be helpful to you when you are buying your cat food later in your cats life as it will be used to all different tastes and trying new flavours of meat.
The jelly pouches are great for serving your kittens a meal as you dont have to dig the food out with a spoon like tinned food, you simply squeze the food out and thats the job done, its really simple and means that you dont have to spend as much time or effort avoiding the cat food smell that I hate when I am feeding my cat.
There are 12 pouches in a packet, each pouch has 100g in them and kittens need about 3 pouches a day as they are active and growing.
I think that a pack of 12 pouches costs around £4 but dont quote me on that, though they are good value to get your growing kitten a good start in diet and nutrition to keep them healthy they contain meat, minerals and vitamins.
The jelly pouches are easy for your kitten to eat and get use to cat food in general, a sprinkle of dry food to keep their teeth healthy and to get your kitten used to dry food is advisable though with these pouches as an additional feed (dry food only after 8-9 weeks old).
My cat loved these pouches as a kitten and never turned them down, unlike some other brands of cat food.
I think that these are great for kittens to give them a great diet in addition to some dry food as well when they get older (8 or 9 weeks old).

- 07/03/09 I use pouches, but I don't think you can just "squeeze and go" - you kind of have to mash the food up still or it's all in one big blob. |
