Advantages: Lots of varieties, easy to open packets

Disadvantages: More expensive that some tinned varieties , Not so sure about the new Lifecare Pouches.

Tiny my beloved Black and White Tomcat loved his food and weighed in at a mere 6.5kg! (Well he was 8.4kg when he first came to live with us). Bacon was his favourite food, but when it came to Whiskas Pouch Sachets, Ham and Turkey was his out and out choice over the rest of the varieties.

Whiskas Pouch Sachets were first introduced about four years ago. These sachets are individual meals in gravy or jelly, designed specifically for cats, in bit size morsels. The packets are easy to open and do not even need to be forked out into the cat?s food bowl. There are many flavours, other than ham and turkey, including beef, chicken, cod and plaice, duck, salmon and prawn, turkey, and finally tuna, to name but a few. These sachets do not smell unpleasant and are not as over bearing as other cat food varieties. The food is fresh for each mealtime and it does not dry out, unlike tinned food. With the great variety of flavours to choose from, no cat need get bored at meal times.

Each sachet contains 100g of meat. This meat is safe to eat warmed. Place the unopened pouch in a bowl of warm water, for about two to three minutes before serving. It makes a change, particularly on a cold winters evening. Whiskas Complete dried food, added as a mixer makes a balanced diet, for the cat. There is no need to add vitamins or minerals to the meal as these sachets contained all the necessary nutrients for the cat.

**Pouches Packs**

Whiskas Pouch Sachets are easily available, on their own or as a box of twelve. The boxes come in four man adult varieties: Favourites, Jelly, Poultry and Seafood Selection. Kittens are not left out either. They have a box of twelve containing four flavours, cod, chicken, tuna and turkey. It is easy to purchases these pouches from many pet shops, supermarkets, and even corner shops.

**Cost**

The pouches cost varies between 23p-28p, depending on the outlet used. Look out for special offers 5 sachet
s for 99p. The boxes of twelve also vary in price (£2.50 to £3.50), but again there are often special offers, so check them out at the supermarket. Kitten food can be brought in three varieties too.

**For More Information**

Waltham website http://www.waltham.com for general pet information.

http://mypetstop.com to enter the taste challenge and get six pouches of free cat food or voucher. A kitten pack is also available at this site too.

I now have a new cat called Max. He is a male Tabby, around six years old and very few teeth, but when it comes to Whiskas Pouch Sachets, there is no stopping him, particularly when chicken or turkey varieties are opened!

Tiny (and Max) sound delightful. Most cats seem to like these sachets. But they're a bit expensive to use all the time. I generally divide one up between my two cats and then add some dried food. It is nice not having to mess around with tins and forks.

I got sent some of these from a freebie site, haven't tried them with our two moggies yet though!

What a massive cat! I had my baby weighed today and he weighed less than your cat (6.3kg)!
