Advantages: Easy to use, Variety of flavours

Disadvantages: none so far

I've never owned a cat before and had no intentions of doing so, untill one day my daughter shouted out to me while I was upstairs that there was two kittens in the back garden.
Looking out of the window I saw the most funniest little scraggly kittens you could ever imagine.
There was a little black one and a funny mottled black and tortoise shelled one.
As soon as I tapped on the window they both turned and looked at me with the most lightest green eyes I have ever seen on a cat.
It was at that moment I knew I was going to make them my friend.
They were of course ferrel kittens and ran as soon as I went outside.
Still I was determined to get them to trust me and the next time I went shopping bought a multi pack of whiskers lifecare kitten junior. These are pouches so are easy to open and don't take up lots of space in the bin. There are 12 pouches in a box, which has a picture of a kitten on the front and is purple in colour. The age for this kitten food is 1 to 12 months.

The kittens were about eight weeks old and their mother had abandoned them in my garden, they were forraging around for food and were very skinny and gangly looking. I knew with some real cat food around they would soon become my friend.
The flavours in the multi pack were :-
3 Chicken
3 Turkey
3 Cod
3 Tuna
I thought this was a good deal as it only cost me £2.99p and even the co-op's own brand was dearer than these, so I bought them.

I first opened a pouch of tuna which is 100g of little pieces of meat in a set jellied gravy. It did smell of cat food and was quite fishy, so I knew the kittens would be enticed with the smell.
I left it on a plate on one of the little stone walls I have as a flower bed border and went inside, sure enough the little black kitten came out from under the fence at the bottom of the garden and started to eat the kitten food. The other kitten was a bit more shy and came in the garden about
three minutes later to eat.
I let them eat it all which didn't take them long as they were starving, then I opened the back door and saw them run to the bottom of the garden, they didn't run away altogether but watched me put out some milk in a bowl and when I went back inside they came back to drink.

The pouches of kitten food are foil and so the food stays fresh untill you need to use it, it contains calcium to help build strong bones and has high levels of vitamins and minerals which is essential for a growing kittten. It is also high in protein as kittens have loads of energy.
Whiskas is made by Masterfoods and their help line is 0800 738 800.
There is also a freephone 0800 0288500 where you can get a free kitten care pack or you can register online at www.whiskers.co.uk this contains free a sample of kitten food and an information pack about the growth and how to look after your new kitten.

Whiskas also comes in tins and is available in dry food form too, they make lots of different flavours to add variety to your cats diet.

To sum up I think that whiskas pouches are the best, they are convenient to use and although one of the kittens has strayed, probably back to roam around the fields with is mother, the other little black one has stayed.
It took about four weeks of patience to get the little kitten to trust me.
Feeding it and sitting near to the dish of food so that it had to come near me to eat, got it used to me being near it, untill one day it came and laid down near my feet as I sat on the garden wall where I fed it.
After a long time it got used to me calling it everytime I put the food out and it would come running to the dish. It wasn't untill it came to walk around me whilst I was sat down that I dared to put my hand out to it for it to sniff.
When it did this I carefully stroked it.

Now the kitten is about five and a half months old, it comes everytime I call and lets me s
troke her and pick her up, she is so funny to watch and climbs the tree in my garden so that she can get on top of the gazzebo and fall asleep. She has a little tabletennis ball she plays with and bats it around with her paws, jumping around as she does it.
Feeding her whiskas has made a real difference, she has filled out and her coat is really shiney, she has loads of energy and is on the go most of the day.
I've never had a cat before and enjoy her being around, although she's an outside cat and will not come into the house it is a pleasure and a joy just to have her around.

I give whiskas 10 out of 10 as I can definately see the difference this kitten food has made on my ferrel cat.

Cheers for reading, have a good day.

how lovely. I buy it for my jack russell its almost all he will eat. Stems from the days when we had a cat I think and he use to like to pinch it from him.

A nice story. I'm not a huge cat fan myself, I love dogs but I love a happy animal story.
