I've always been a cat-lover - but I'm nothing compared to my boyfriend . Early this year, he phoned me up while I was out shopping, and said 'I've got a present for you'
The present turned out to be cute little kitten - I'd been gutten when my previous cat died because of an illness caused by lily pollen, and I fell in love with this cute, fluffy bundle of multicoloured fur. Myself and the fella promtly went out and bought all the cat bits we didn't have - food, toys, special kitten milk, and lots of treats.
These are a pound for a 60g box, and come in various flavours, we selected the Chicken and Cheese flavour. The box is quite attractive , shaped like a cats face, with a foil lid, and a further transparent plastic lid on top that makes the container airtight and stops the little snacks going manky
Now, I personally cannot vouch for the flavour - having never eaten one and not intending to do so at any point in the future, but kitty seems to love them . She knows that the rattle of the box means she's going to get something tastier than her normal meals, and comes trotting in, her purrs sounding like a motorbike, and starts to jump up. If you leave the closed box on the floor, she'll paw at it and try to get you to give her one, its really very sweet . Its definately fair to say she enjoys these very much.
The ingredients listing is pretty vague - cereals, meat and animal derivatives, oils . I'm not too sure I want any specific information on these 'derivatives'.
A tub of these will last me between a month and two months, depending on how often the cat decides to pop in and show its face ( a neighbour of ours also has cats, and mines started to sneak in and pinch the food from their bowls! ) but she usually gets one or two a day . Theres nothing on the pack saying how many to give, but I don't want to overdo it, so tend to hold back a little .
The containers also provide great fun for my daughter - push a stick through the cats neck ( the cat container, not the actual cat! ) draw a face on in marker pen, and hours of fun!
I'd recommend giving these a go to any cat lover - we all know cats are fussy, and just because my cat likes them doesn't mean yours will, but as they come with the airtight lid, you can always seal them until you can gift them to another cat lover .
These cost £1 from my corner shop, and are widely available in all major supermarkets , on the cat food aisle.
