Box turtles are a comonly kept pet, they originate from 4 different places, live up to 20 years in captivity and all have the same diet. In the wild they would eat snails, insects, berries, mushrooms, slugs, worms, flowers, fruit, fish, frogs, mice and eggs. It can be quite difficult to give them a balanced diet in captivity which is why it is always better to feed a food that is designed especially for them.
