RSPCA in general: ... RSPCA do a lot of good work both rescuing animals and also highlighting animal welfare causes both at home and abroad and doing campaigns to stop cruelty to animals such as culling wildlife, hunting, intensive farming etc. The problem with being such a large rescue is that a lot of the money they receive from the government has to go towards paying staff etc. which is understandable but what is not understandable...

	Beauticat Woodbased Cat Litter ... would recommend this or any other wood based cat litter as opposed to the clumping cat litter. Wood based litter tends to disguise the smell of the cat s business a lot better than the normal stuff. This cat litter has a lovely pine smell and I find that I don t have to change it as often if I remove the lumps on a regular basis (sorry, too much information!). It also helps if you swish it around a bit as it brings the fresh litter at the bottom to the service. It may be more expensive then the other litter on the market but it is well worth it as it is less messy, smells better and you won t need to change it as often. 	Baileys Economy Mix Plus ... recently bought my first bag of Baileys Economy Mix Plus. One of my horses had an injury and as a result is to be rested and then brought back into light work over several months so a high performance mix would not be suitable for her. I asked my feed merchant which mix he d recommend and Economy Mix Plus was his answer. It is high fibre, low energy mix and will provide all of the vitamins and minerals that horses require while in little or no work. Baileys Economy Mix Plus is free from oats to prevent fizzy behaviour. For some horses an oat free mix is essential, so is worth mentioning. 1 bag cost £7.65 (September 2008). 	Dengie Alfa-A Oil ... feed Dengie Alfa A Oil to my 2 horses all year round. I used to use the original Alfa A version, but this one appealed to me as it ticks a few extra boxes and means I can stop using oil in their feeds - they are 2 fussy girls and disliked having oil added resulting in them leaving / wasting food. Alfa A Oil is marketed as a slow release feed, aimed at horses in hard work. It is made from pure Alfalfa which is chopped and then heated at a high temperature to dry it.
