The Anatolian Karabash is a medium to large breed that originates from Turkey. The Turks use them to guard flocks of sheep against wolf attack, so consequently the Karabash is a fearless dog that is fiercely protective of its family. It is ideal with children as despite its size they are usually very gentle. My own dog Daisy has been registered as a PAT Dog for about 3 years now, and she regularly visits the local hospital. She has also visited a mental institution for a while, and regularly attends local primary schools with the dog warden, to teach children how to approach a dog safely and how to care for one. I would thoroughly recommend this breed to anyone with a family
