A lovely horse for all riders

I used to work at a yard that bought and trained Appaloosa's for showing and general riding and competing. They look beautiful with their spotted coats and have the kindest temperament. They are really honest horses who try very hard at anything you ask them to do. The are curious and inquisitive and have a lovely sense of humour. They are real characters. They may not be the most intelliegent breed in the world and a few of the ones I looked after didn't have much common sense (if you cantered one towards a tree, they would stop rather than go around it) but I still love them. They range in height and size from 17.2hh hunters down to 14.2hh showier types so there is an Appaloosa for everyone. Appaloosa's are quite slow to mature and the English type has more mane and tail the the American type who tend not to have much mane or tail at all
