Advantages: lovely pets
Disadvantages: none
As many of you probably already know we have turned our home into an animal rescue and although i dont realy specialise in cats we have aquired 3 bengal cats.
These cats are not cheep to buy they can cost anything upwards of £200 so i find it hard to understand why people see fit to neglect and abandon something that cost so much to buy in the first place.
Bengal cats in my oppinion are one of the most beautiful breeds of cats ever they have a very gentil and friendly nature, they enjoy the company of us and our children, looking after them is just the same as your usuall moggy, same nutritional requirements, exercise and immunisations.
Bengals are very easy to teach to use a litter tray and from my experience they are easier to teach than you average moggy.
Ours are all spotted tabby bengalas, they have a pastel orange body with dark orange almost brown spots and stripes across there legs and tails.
Buying a bengal kitten is harder than buying your average moggy as most breeders have new homes for there kittens before they are even born.
Bengals are a medium sized cat weighing about 4 to 9 kg
They are a hybrid breed developed through selective breeding of different cats to give the patterns and colours people like.
I believe one of the cats used is an abbysinian which is actually my favorite breed of cats so maybee that explains why my love for these cats is so great.
People say that bengal cats are very intelegent but i cant realy say that i agree or disagree with this as i think all cats are very intelegent,
My 3 are all girls and look like they may have come from the same litter as they are marked extremely similar which i believe is rare for bengals but i have had all mine neuted as i have no intentions of breeding them.
i know a lot of bengal owners keep there cats as house cats but mine have the choice, out the cat flap they go and love the outside world,
Sumping and playing in the grass, they even seem to like water and will think nothing of jumping in our pond.
They realy do make great pets but i dont think i would have payed £200 pounds each for them me personaly.
Summary: dont realy know how to summarise this except thanks for reading
