BoxerNewest Review: ... looks well groomed even though he smells like most dogs do! Boxers are short haired dogs however they shred quite a lot of hair so George has given me quite a lot more cleaning then I ever expected! He is now 9 years old and is still very muscular due to the amount of exercise he gets. He has the odd grey hair but I am really surprised that he does not have much more because a lot of older ... more |

***My love of dogs*** I am a dog lover, big dogs, little dogs, any shape, size or age. I not one of these people that only love puppy's, I believe 'a dog is not just for xmas, its for life'. As a youngster we had our first dog during my early years at school. It was a beautiful mongrel named 'Prince'. Unfortunately for us my mum and dad worked full time and struggled to juggle things around to make sure that our loyal friend had someone at home with him most of the day. There was not problem with us loving him it was just we finding it difficult to give him the attention he deserved. At around the same time this happened an ... Read the complete review

I never grew up with animals and was always a bit wary of dogs, but my husband grew up with a Boxer and really wanted us to have one. He convinced me one day to go and have a look at some puppies and I fell in love immediately... we went back the very next day to get one. Some people think the Boxer is ugly, but our puppy was so cute, with his floppy ears, sad looking eyes and all that spare skin flapping around his mouth. The Boxer is a medium sized dog with short hair, they are very strong and muscular. We bought a pedigree brindle... he's 9 now and he's going a bit grey, but he still has a great personality and lots of energy. From day one ... Read the complete review

The boxer..a wonderful wonderful dog. I remember the first time that I saw a boxer, I thought to myself, now that's a vicious dog just look at it. But the inquisitive person in me made me do a bit of research on these dogs and I was quite surprised at what I read and found out. Although from a stock of dogs that would have been used for bear baiting the present day boxer had evolved so much. It still had some of the old traits in it, such as loyal commanding and strong, but vicious it was not. A dog recommended in the book I read as an ideal pet, the author even stated "every child should grow up with a boxer in their life" and with that my ... Read the complete review

I have never been intrested in big dogs I dont know if its just the way they look or whateva I have always liked the small cute dogs you can carry around with you and pamper! About 6 years ago my parents got a white boxer, and I just couldnt get over how playful she was we got her when she was about 4 months old and all she did all day was bounce around everywhere its amazing how much energy they have! They are great with kids as there very playful and dont get bored of playing either, so they make a fabulous family dog, the main colours of boxers are brindle and white, red and white, and then plain white but for some reason i have heard ... I'm a dog lover and have two Border Collies myself. One of my other favourite breeds is Boxers; I think they're great dogs. They have fantastic faces, unlike no other breed really, it's almost like they have the same expression twenty-four hours a day. I've never actually owned one myself, but I do know a few people with Boxers and they think they're great, as do I. They originate from Germany and are descendants of the English Bulldog. They are medium sized dogs, similar in size to Retrievers and Labradors, but tend to be very muscular and stocky; this can be a problem when they're young and still being trained, especially the males. Once out of their 'puppy ... Read the complete review
