Advantages: Fun, strong, energetic, loyal

Disadvantages: Not very smart, scary to little kids, sheds a lot of hair

All my life, my family has owned Boxers and they have all been comedians on four legs. Our current Boxer even knocks on the door when he wants to be let inside! They aren't the smartest dog, but that's what makes them so funny. They are quite strong and enthusiastic, especially with little children (although we have had a few incidents when he has jumped up and scared little ones). They are beautiful dogs and are by no means "handbag dogs". Our dogs eats a lot and has not an ounce of fat on him, he is purely muscle and bone! They need to have somewhere to run or be walked almost every day (even if only for 5-10 minutes) and you could let them inside the house but they do shed quite a lot of hair that seems to get everywhere. However, they are still personally my favourite breed of dog and they probably always will be.

Summary: Overall, they are beautiful dogs that always find a place in your heart
