If you have read any of my other opinions you will know I already own a St Bernard. My St Bernard is a great big bundle of fun and always wanting attention, so we decided that we wanted to get her a freind, as we don't own an overly huge house we didn't have the room for another Bernie, so we dicided to look into rescueing a Boxer as me and my husband have always loved them. I looked up on the internet about rescue centres and got a phone number of a lady who currently had one, she sounded perfect Ten months old and very freindly. We didn't really want a pup, afraid that the bernie would get to excited and hurt it, so she fitted the bill perfectly. I had to travel a long way to get her it took me ten hours in total travelling, but she is worth every minute. She was very timid, but is settling in great, she was also very skinny and riddled with worms, but we now have that under control and she has started to gain weight. She would flinch if we moved to quick, so it is obvious she had been very badly treated, but it hasn't taken her long to trust us, she is always by my side and is looking forward to go out for a walk as she gets excited when she sees the lead. I havent been able to take her out yet as she came into season the day we got her, but I think she is just about ready now so in a couple of days the fun shall really begin, I can't wait. She is one of the family now and we all love her, like all boxers she has such a loving personality and dotes on attention and fuss..........
