Advantages: Amazing personalities
Disadvantages: Need to be taken out a lot
I was brought up with a boxer from a baby and although they may come across as rough and complete nuts, they are wonderful with children and the best playmate a child could have. I am now 26 and own a 2yr old boxer who reflects all the qualities aboxer should have: Brave Loyal A Clown Loves Children Loves playing even alone Loves excercise. I would say that a boxer prefers human company and although they play well with other boxers I have found them to be a bit too much for other breeds of dogs. They mean no harm they are just naturally excitable. Also they need plenty of excercise, I work and although he goes out everyday he gets taken on long runs to the beach etc on the weekends. I wouldnt recommned this dog if you got out to work and can't get back to let him or her out as they have the tendancy to get bored and maybe destroy! A boxer will keep you amused on even your darkest day and I have gone through a few with mine, although they seem bonkers one minute they can sense your feelings and have this knack of mirroring your emtions. They are also good for keeping your feet warm at night!
