My boyfriend had wanted a dog for a long while, especially a staffie, but since we already had a cat I was not keen on the idea. However after a few months my dad had called us to say that he had a Staffie. Well as soon as I seen him I fell in love with him and began to come around to the idea. One night we were talking about it and i started to search the internet for an idea of costs as we wanted a Blue. It must have been fate because a few calls later we had arranged to go and see a 6 1/2 week girl the very next day. We had been advised that she was around £450 so we discussed this and decided that the very most we would pay would be £350 - after all it is only a dog. Well I should have prepared myself more because as soon as she was in my arms I fell in love with her. She was bright blue and absolutely adorable. £400 later we left with her. we racked our brains trying to think of a suitable name for this little bundle of blue fur and when my boyfriend suggested Skye i immediately knew that it was perfect. 8 months on Skye is huge and still the baby of the house. We have had our ups and downs with her for example chewing the corner of a £2000 sofa, new shoes, clothes and whatever she can get her teeth into. But I can honestly say that I do not know what I would do without her. She is the most lovable dog I have ever known and you simply cannot move for her as she likes to be right next to you whenever you are around her. She sleeps in between myself and my boyfriend in bed, literally underneath the covers with her head on the pillow. Its either that or her crying as she does not like being on her own. I can honestly say that whatever you read about in the press for example Staffordshire Bull Terriers are viscious animals and nasty, take one look at Skye and you would see that they are nothing like that. In fact I trust her more than anything - not sure the cat would agree though!!

Summary: If you like attention this is the dog for you!!

I've got a Staffie too but mine is 6 now. I love her to bits and she gets treated like a baby in our house!
As far as I know you were lucky to get a blue for 400 quid...I thought they were much more expensive due to their rarity!

welcome to dooyoo - I hope you have fun here. This was a lovely read about your new pup but I would just like to offer some hopefully helpful advice. If you space out your reviews by using paragraphs they will be easier for us to read and to get more readings and better ratings it's a good idea to give a bit more information on the subject - in this case for example - What size to they grow to? How much do they eat on average? What is the breeds background? The best way to get ideas on reviews is to read other people's especially those who constantly get very usefuls or crowns. I hope this helps as I think your reviews could be very interesting if this is anything to go by. Best wishes, Belinda
