Advantages: loving caring loyal
Disadvantages: strong willed
with regards to Daves comment. are you really that ignorant. Do you not know that the highest percentage of dog attacks are by golden retreivers not 'Bull breeds'. In fact the Bull terrier has a very small attack ratio compared to other dogs. It is in fact a loyal companion who if brought up correctly becomes a valuable family member.
Admittedly a larger dog will do more damage in the wrong hands but then a 4x4 would do more damage than a mini in the wrong hands so do we ban large cars also? i have 2 male bull terriers who live as part of my family. we respect how powerful these dogs can be so have made sure we are top of the pecking order so our dogs are under our complete control. the only time my dogs would attack is if I was in danger or they were in fear of their safety.
I have worked with many breed of dogs over the years and have found the smaller lap dogs to be far more likely to be aggressive than the larger bull breeds. IN FACT america has proved by their dog aptitude testing which all rescue centres use that bull terriers are one of the least likely to attack. scoring 90.7% whereas the norm was 87%. Please do not put your misguided, uninformed, imbecillic, and damn wrong views anywhere where it will insult us more knowledgable intelligent people who actually find out facts before engaging our limited writing skills. Boards like these are here to give honest views not views that are just put on to be derogatory.
IN other words Stop being an idiot and learn a few basic facts
Summary: a bull terrier is a loyal loving companion

- 26/11/07 When is the war between Bull Terrier & Non- Bull Terrier owners going to stop on this site? I have to agree they are wonderful dogs, and are only dangerous in the wrong hands like any dog is but 'reviews' written only to respond to something someone else has said is not helping anybody. And sorry Nette, but Golden Retrievers do not commit the highest percentage of dog attacks, Rottweilers do. (And before anyone starts I am not calling all Rotties aggresive- I have one myself). |
