Advantages: everything

Disadvantages: none

I just wanted to have my say,
I have always had dogs in my life from small yappy dogs to my new 6-month-old English bull. Up to now none of the family including the 3 kids have come to any harm. As long as the dogs are treated well they will return with all the love you can handle. As in all things you can never take your eye off.
The local A&E department is full of people with injuries from other people not dogs.
I just wish the three kids behaved as much as the dog did.
The new dog is now responsible for making my kids have regular fresh air and exercise and learning about responsibility.
Behind every so-called bad dog you will find a bad owner.

Summary: its a two way thing

I one-hundred percent agree with your last sentence ''behind every so-called dog you will find a bad owner''. Couldn't have said it better myself. I have a Rottweiler (as well as 2 other dogs) as she is still a pup, however we are already getting narrow minded people who cross the road when they see us coming, because Rotties are 'blood thirsty monsters'. Lol

Yes but some breeds have been breed to be aggressive and it dosn't take much for them to revert! I would not take the risk!
