Advantages: Cute, cuddly and independent, and they don't smell

Disadvantages: Can be moody little bleeps, but should be noce if you take care of them

I didn't just spend 10 minutes looking in the dictionary for a cat pun. Honest. (Catalectic, apparently, means incomplete - if I didn't know that I don't know why you should)

Cats are probably the most wonderful things on earth. I have to say this because one is sitting on my lap and looks like it is about to scratch my eyes out. Haha. Not really!!

Most children want some kind of pet at some point, whether its a woodlouse or snail, a parakeet or a chiouaoahao. At the age of 11 I demanded a cat. I went through a lot to get my little kitten, including breaking my arm so that my mum would feel sorry for me (she doesn't know to this day, cackle cackle). And it worked. Splendid. So there was I with this little creature, and I had to look after it. Inevitably the little thing grew up to be a fat enormous thing as I was rather generous at meal times, but looking after her was really good for me. It gave me a level of responsibility, and a little furry thing to cuddle when I was unhappy. Needless to say I have grown up to be a well-adjusted semi-adult. AHem. Cats are independent enough not to need constant attention, but attentive enough to enjoy cuddles on the odd occasion. They have been clinically proven (no animals were harmed....) to be stress relieving, and great friends for those that take care of them. I heard somewhere that some people are genetically drawn to cats. I must be one of them, because since adopting my little kitty I talk to cats in the street and feel really hurt if they don't like me. It's great, I have a whole community of feline friends!

But really cats are incredible creatures that probably surprise their owners every day with their amusing behaviour. My cat has her own language and is very clever in communicating with humans. She's not very good at catching meeces so I very rarely have to deal with those.

Anyone looking for a pet should definitely consider cats, just remembering that
even though they are independent they need looking after. They can also be quite expensive with vets bills and jabs, but thats definitely worth it.

Hulahoop you are so intelligent I bow to your greater being. Fancy knowing great long words like catalectic without even using a dictionary.
