Cats are definately my favourite pet. I have always owned one during my life.

My first cat, Dora, lived till the age of 21 and was a really great companion. Very kind and loving, but very defensive at the same time. I grew up with her, and it was this cat that definately started my admiration for these animals.

After dora died, about 3 years ago now. We picked up 2 kittens - max and maisie. They are still a right handful and race around providing enjoyment for anyone whos watching!


Advantages

Cats are great because
1. Their kind and loving - They like to come get in bed with you or snuggle up with you on a cold cold night. This is most welcome come christmas eve, just not so much when your trying to sleep on an august night! Lovely nonetheless
2. Playful - All cats are really playful, and with a bit of string you can definately provide yourself with hours upon hours of mindless entertainment by dragging it around the room and watching them chase after it!


Disadvantages

1. Fur - Fur gets everywhere, havoc is created. General mindless violence occurs because of their clumsiness, from knocking things off windows to breaking curtains! it all goes on but it is small price to pay!
2. Costs! Max gets through about 4 pouches a day! Obviously this is quite costly after a while so you do have to be careful and make sure that you can afford to support a cat.
If you can though, go for it, you wont look back.

If you have a bit of spare cash and want a loving, loyal, funny companion. Get a cat, or even better, get a few :)
