You can't beat a cat for loving, they are so affectionate and cant get or give enough of either.
I now have four and love them all, they are like children ,they let you know when they want feeding, to go out, come in or just when they want to play.
Once litter trained they can be left on their own whilst your at work, however responsible owners must make sure adequate food and fresh water is left.
Also at this point I would say you should make sure your cat is vaccinated and has been neutered. I say this due to the problems created by idiots who let their cat have litters then abandon them there are thousands of cats looking for homes.
If you want a cat as a pet go to the rspca or cats protection league or your local rescue centre, all their cats will be healthy and you know you will be getting a friend for life.
Lap cats are not born, they are made through the cat feeling happy and comfortable so look after your pet and it will look after you and be there when you need a friend.
Be prepared to pay too, the rspca charge £48 at the moment, as all animals are neutered and fully vaccinated as well as micro chipped, which saves you a small fortune as the innoculations can cost that alone!
