All in all, I was impressed with the blurb and recommendation, so we waited until tea time when Dexter was hungry and then it would be the moment of truth. Opening the can, I was most aware of the absolute stench that reeked from the can, Dexter looked at me as if to say 'you are not feeding me that, are you?', but I persevered. My dog, Dexter, has been unwell lately. A problem that has arisen from his liking of rich, gravy based dog foods, which really, his digestive system cannot handle. After much variation in trying to find the right dog food, wet or dry, our vet suggested that we should try Chappie, if we could stand the smell. He recommended this due to the fact that Chappie was easily digestible and contained everything Dexter would need for a healthy, balanced diet and hopefully, Chappie would put a stop to the digestive problems Dexter was experiencing. Still to no avail and then someone well a lot of people actually told me about chappie and even vets recommend it. They say its one of the best foods for older dogs and those with digestive problems, perfect so I bought some. The product: ...

I do like the premium foods such as Hills and Eukanuba and if you can afford it especially with a small dog by all means go ahead but if you have a large dog or several large dogs as I do then I would reccomend chappie. Of all the cheaper brands of dog foods I find it is consistantly good quality and suits most dogs. I work as a vet and often recommend it for dogs with colitis but only after ruling out other causes of the dogs symptoms first. If you feed the canned variety please ...
