Chihuahua

The first chihuahua that became a member of the family was given as a xmas gift, she is KC reg and is a lovely little girl called molly! The second was a male dog called bailey who is also KC reg. When we got our first one it was just before the boom of the little dog and hand bag phase so she was expensive for that time but alot cheaper then out male that we have recently got. He is about 8 months old and cost a wopping £1000!!! He is a lovely dog though and is a great adition to the family. Over time these dog breeds have become very expensive (KC reg or not). Chihuahua's were originally found in Mexico and that's why they're named after a place there as well. These little toy breed dogs were first thought to be a cross breed of a squirrel or other types of rodents or little creatures. It was only since they've been domesticated that they've been classed as little dogs. I absolutely love Chihuahuas and you will see from my picture that my gorgeous one, Pippa is there. Well strictly speaking she isn't mine, but my grandparents. I am like her surrogate mum and steal her away as often as I can as she is a great little soul and she loves to play in my garden, often it's a fight to get her back inside. The Chihuahua is the worlds smallest breed of dog. They can range from 2 to 6 pounds. They are know for their apple shaped heads and bulging eyes. Chihuahua's originated in Mexico and were named from the Mexican city of Chihuahua. Chihuahua's can have long or short hair. An introduction to Chihuahuas. Chihuahuas originate from Mexico and it is mentioned in various places on the Internet that they were used for ceremonial sacrifice, although their origins as I understand it are from the old hunting days of Mexican peasants.
