West Highland White Terrier ... have three westies who we have adopted - snowy, and brothers bob and dave. As lovely as they are westies being white dogs suffer from many illnesses many of which are down to the breading of the white strain. Inusrance is must if you fall in love with a cute fluffy, funny white ball of fun. You may otherwise end up paying for... dry eyes - oten westies have no tear ducts, or blocked ones, an operation can decide which, if it cant be fixed then soothing eye drops are needed several times per day and even then your dog may still slowly loose their sight. skin problems/allergies - westies can be alergic to many things, a gluten free diet can help but if like us your ... Cocker Spaniels ... Spaniels without question are the best medium sized dog around. So good infact that I own one. They give unconditional love to their owners and make excellent pets. They require a great deal of excercise to try to burn off some of there excess energy (if they were children they would be deamed to have ADHD or hyperactivity). Spaniels are almost crazy if they are left without stimulous so constant attention is required. I would not recommend any dog for those who work full time or work away from the home but Cocker Spaniels are a definate no no!! When you get a cocker spaniel puppy they are very easily trained. Bull Terriers ... years we had an English Bull Terrier called Leo, I loved him because he used to terrify the neighbours! He never barked or anything at them but they were still scared of him because English Bull Terriers look so much different to other dogs. I was so sad when Leo died 2 years ago because he was a wicked companion and never any trouble, at the time my mum was pregnant with my little sister so her and my dad decided not to get another dog until my sister has grown a bit but then they plan to buy 2 English Bull Terriers and breed them.
