emms_apples Border Collie: ... have three collies. A bitch, Beth, who is six years old and two puppies from here litter she had back in October 2007. A dog, Jake, and a bitch, Tess. This breed is not for anyone who is not energetic and is not willing to give up some time each day to giving them the attention they need. Not necessarily walking for miles but give them the mental stimulation they need. The best method we found to fulfil this i...

Bearstorm German Shepherd
... s are classed as a large breed. They originated in Germany (if the name didnt give that away) in the late 1800 s making them failry new as far as breeding goes. They belong to the working dog group as they were originally bred for herding sheep. They are often favoured as Police dogs due to their strength, agility and high level of intelligence. They are extremely loyal and obediant makign them one of the most popular breeds registered. My love of this breed started well...before I was even born really as my parents had a great big black and Tan GSD called Prince. Then I came along. Prince was an ex police dog and very very territorial and protetive. Unfortunately...

... could not recommend this breed of dog more highly if you are looking for a family pet!!! Our Bulldog Suggs is now 6 years old, and after having us to himself for his first 4 and a half years he has adapted to the family life better than we could of ever imagined since having our daughter 18 months ago. Maximum exercise they need is about 10 minutes a day. Suggs can t even be bothered with this amount!! Other downsides to the ...

One of the best things about owning a dog is the welcome they give you on entering the house. With a Sheltie, it is usually a noisy and ecstatic welcome full of little paws and bundles of fur and excited yips and yelps. Nothing is better for the ego than a welcome home from a loyal Sheltie. The Breed - It is a common misunderstanding that the Sheltie is simply a miniature Rough Collie. This is not the case. They are in fact, a breed in their own right and kennel Clubs around the world prohibit any out breeding with Rough Collies. The orig...
