Just The Three Of Us (Well, It Will Be Anyway!) (German Shepherd)

Advantages: I never know what to put here.

My best friend used to have only two German Shepherds, Kimmy, aged two, and Rocky, aged 4. However, recently, Kimmy and Rocky had nine puppies. Unfortunately the tenth one was stillborn, but the rest were happy, healthy and bonding well with their parents and also humans, which is important.

Six of the puppies were sold at Christmas, and all went to responsible owners with very good homes for them. The other two, Buster and Dakota, became my best friend and her brother's pets.

A couple of weeks back, my best friend and I had the honour of taking Dakota out for her first walk...although I can tell you, she didn't do that much walking! Still, after having been out a few times now, she seems to be getting the hang of it, and Buster is also doing very well indeed.

My best friend and I hope to live together when we finally leave home, and I look forward very much to it as we will then pool some of our savings and divide the cost of Dakota's keep, meaning she will belong to both of us.

I love it that she has had the chance to bond with me from birth, because then she won't find living with me too strange at first. I look forward to days to come and hope that myself, my best friend and Dakota have a great long time together!

If anyone was thinking or buying a German Shepherd dog, I would strongly recommend it, as they are faithful, loyal and loving dogs with easygoing personalities if they are brought up properly.
