Very relaxing and easy care. I am going by owning a fish throughout my childhood and also for the last 9 and a half years.
I moved into my first flat and my cousin decided she did not want the goldfish she won at the fair. Bob is now 9 and a half years old has has always lived in an unfiltered tank and he is fine. I never treat the water and clean him out every 3-4 weeks as i know they get stressed easily. I give him a jug of clean water by the 3rd week.
I only feed him a pinch of food every night.
I know people say they have no memory but i truly believe he knows who i am!!
Just common sense to not contaminate the water, ie if you have perfume or moisturisre when cleaning the tank out. I have a seperate bowl, sponge and jug kept in a sealed bag especially for him.
I am just about to upgrade him into a much bigger tank and also get a new friend to keep him company. I hope he takes to it ok!! I Shall keep you all updated. :)
