Advantages: Great to watch!

Disadvantages: None in my opinion.

I just love fish. I could spend an entire day sitting there watching them. Watching them swim about is just so relaxing! I have 4 goldfish and 2 shubunkins and they're just great! I used to have a whole range of cold water fish. I had some orandas and some blackmoors which were also cool but they all caught fin rott and died :o( and I couldn't afford anymore. My 6 fish are in a tank in the lounge and I also have a tank in my bedroom where the other fish used to live before they died. That tank is empty now but I am saving up for some new little fishies to inhabit it! Some fish are actually quite expensive. Goldfish are fairly cheap but orandas and blackmoors are more like £3 or £4 each and that's quite expensive if you have about 12 and they all die of fin rott like mine did. I wouldn't recommend fish from Petsmart because that is where mine came from. I have bought several lots from there and all have died. My current fish which have been with us for over a year came from a local water gardens and they are very healthy! I would recommend fish as pets. Aquariums can be quitye expensive depending on their size but that is a one off payment and then after that all you really need is fish food and that doesn't cost much so they are fairly cheap pets. Plus they are great to watch!
