Advantages: small living space

These rodents are very sweet, they are small, fluffy and not that energetic. You will find yourself very attracted to the little "bliter" before long.
You must also remember they need a lot of care and attention; they will need a cage which will serve as the hamsters home for the rest of his life! I would very much recommend buying the hamster a ball, which they can get inside this, allows them to go around the house without hurting itself!
If you cannot manage a dog in your small house and think it is unfair that there is not enough space for the dog to move around in. This is your perfect alternative, equally loveable, yet less cost and needs less space! The only problem is that they do not live as long as a dog, but the cost to buy a replacement is a lot less. When my pet hamster bullet died i could not get a replacement, as I knew that it would never live up to the marvellous Bullet.

- 19/08/00 Not very energetic? What planet did yours come from? My hamster is the complete opposite. On the go constantly. If there's any mischief to be found, or better still made, well you know who's in the middle of it! Incedible how such a small inconspicuous animal can have such charisma.
