Advantages: good starter kit for children or homes with limited space

Disadvantages: too small for more than one average sized goldfish

the hexafun fish tank is ideal for use as a starter kit for children or beginer fish keepers. It is also useful for anyone who wishes to keep fish, but with limited space available.
I purchaced one of these tanks seven years ago and i housed 2 small fish happily for 5 years.
I bought a larger tank for these fish, however my mother has inherited the tank and also one of my sisters 12 year old goldfish and he seems to enjoy living in this tank on his own. He is about 3in long and does not apear to suffer any ill effect from living in his small plastic home.
I will mention that there has been an airline added to this tank due to the age of the fish and that the undergravel filter is not quite as practical as any other type i have used as it does require more regular cleaning of the tank.
Generally it is a good tank to start with, or if you have a child whose intrest may fade before the fish do then this is an ideal place to start.
If you are looking to start with more than 2 small goldfish and intend on adding more or have the space and funds then i would suggest that you go with a larger tank or aquarium that has a different filtration system.

Summary: great for children whith 1 or 2 small fish, but not for serious fishkeepers.
