Iberian Warmblood Horse:
... a child I was fascinated by horses and ponies, but what little girl isn t?! I was fortunate enough to grow up with horses and I started riding at the age of 3. I used to love reading books on horses whether it was to do with how to plait a mane or tail to learning about the skeleton of a horse! One thing I loved to do was read about breeds of horse, I found it fascinating and I still do. There are so many breeds o... Read the full review: The Iberian by sweetpea01 |

Because they are so big it s really nice to have affection from something so powerful. It s almost like it feels like we aren t worthy. 2) You can ride them - this is just fun, and a lovely fluid motion of movement where you become one with a horse. I love it! 3) You can train them. Monty Roberts work on join up is fascinating, and basically you can use body language to tame and train a rabbit. I have tried this with wild horses on dartmoor - it s g... Horses in General ... am one of those typical girls who has always dreamt of having a pony of her own and even though I am nearly 28, I still hope that one day that dream will become a reality. I love everything about horses and although I rode when I was younger, drinking soon became more important and I gave it up. After ten years of being sober I finally got on a horse again recently and I am enjoying it so much. There is so much about horses to love although my dad would disagree after being kicked by one when he was little. They are so graceful in their movement and even when they are bucking and going wild, they move with such precision. We are very blessed in that we live right b... Selle Francais ... the Anglo-Norman. There were two main types Anglo Normans. There were the ones used for work in harness which resembled draft horses, and a lighter type used for work under saddle, the "French Saddle Horse". These lighter types were also often used for racing. In 1771 the world famous Saumur cavalry school opened its doors. Horses were breed to fill the growing need for a superior Cavalry force. The Napoleonic wars brought fresh equine blood from Egypt, Austria, and Asia to intermingle with the French horses. Finally, in 1836 the Ministry of Agriculture was instituted to become the governing body of the French breeders, with the responsibility to oversee the...
