When I moved into my new house I did feel a bit lost and for a couple of months I just couldn't get it to feel like home and I couldn't work out why. Then when I went home for Christmas and spent a whole week there, I was attached to the dog and kept fussing him. Then it dawned on me that the reason I could not feel settled was because I didn't have a pet. My first option was a fish so I had a couple but you can't really fuss a fish so I still felt lost. What can I say about "Moggie's?"... I've always been a dog lover. Ever since I was born, we've had a dog as part of the family. Sadly, after having our much loved dog Pebbles, she died after 13 years. So we decided to get another dog, not as a replacement, but because we love them so much. Two years later, my Cousin's cat had 7 kittens. Obviously, she couldn't look after 7 kitten's as well as her cat so I decided to take one. I can't remember who said that dogs have owners but cats have slaves, but it was very true. I grew up with a house full of cats and was delighted to finally be in suitable accommodation to get my own cat as an adult around a year ago. I'ts one of the best things I've ever done. My moggie, shadow is a pretty shy boy, when we first brought him home he spent days hiding under the magazine rack. It took him months to fully trust us, but it was worth the wait. He still runs to one of his favourite hiding places when guests come round, but is affectionate with his owners. Theres nothing as soothing after a bad day then to simply curl up on the couch with a cat ...
