super pets (Rabbits in general)

Advantages: easy to look after Disadvantages: hidden expenses I currently have 2 rabbits - one dwarf lop and one neatherland dwarf. I would recommend them as fantastic pets for anyone. If you have one they will be your sole mate and even follow you round the room an dif you have two they tend to amuse themselves. I find they are friendly and easy to handle. There can be hidden expenses of injections depending on how you plan to house your rabbit eg if outside they will need protected from air borne and fly borne diseases. Also they tend to have problems with their teeth and this can lead to huge vets bills £70 roughly per time they get filed - they can get insured but the companies tend to be edgy around insuring rabbits for teeth as it is such a common problem due to the fact that they need to be grinding their teeth constantly and as humand we tend to feed them at tea time a bit like wee humans which they arent and this can result in large vets bills. They also need their nails clipped - you can do this yourself but again you need to remember these hidden extras if you are working form a limited budget. I find my rabbits have given me the chance to have a pet that is easier to look afetr than a dog but remember they will still need to be fed and get water. Summary: can have hidden costs |
