They make me shudder! (Spiders in General)

Why is it that most people are absolutely scared to death of spiders? I can't even go near a baby one without screaming blue murder and shuddering. There have been many occasions where Andrew has tried to convince me to hold one but I think I would literally crap my pants if I did! I know that I am passing this fear onto my poor boys which I hate but I just can't overcome it so lets look at the why I hate them so much.

The movement.
Spiders are so quick to move! They run like maniacs and although logic tells me that they are scared out of their mind because you've just wipped away the home that they have been happily living in for months, I can't help but think that they are doing it because they want to scare me. Well they succeed!

The hairiness
Why are spiders so hairy especially the big ones? You can see the individual hairs that stretch out from every inch of their body and you know that cuddling it isn't going to be like snuggling into your favourite teddy.

The webs
Whilst I will sit happily from a distance and wonder over the most amazing process of the web making business that spiders seem to be perfect at doing, I hate everything else about them. Our back garden is filled with webs and the amount of times I have been juggling babies, bags and hands and then have walked through one, almost dropped everything for fear of a spider crawling over me, is ridiculous. That feeling as the silk touches your face and the curious panic that you go through shouting 'Ahhhhh is it on me? Is it on me?' whilst jumping around like a complete maniac is undescribable.

I think I've made my point here and I think you'll all agree that I am definitely not in the minority when I say that spiders are scary dudes. I'd also like to finish by saying that it took a lot for me to write this review because I went on to Wiki to see if I could find some facts but I actually couldn't bare looking at the pictures so I couldn't stay on the page. Maybe I need some councilling.
