Let me tell you a love story... There was a girl called Claire who was scared of all dogs, she would run away from them in the park, friends would have to keep dogs out of the living room when she visited and stroking a dog was completely out of the question. Then Claire met Steven and Steven had a Staffordshire Bull Terrier called ...  Read the complete review

Staffordshire Bull Terrier's have a bit of a reputation of being vicious and violent, the type of dogs that thugs take on their travels with them to protect them during dodgey dealings. If that's the kind of thing you want sure you could train them to be like it but they are actually really good family pets if handled by the right people. They're ...  Read the complete review

Originally bred to be a fighting dog Staffordshire Bull Terriers are stocky, muscular Dogs with impressive strength, powerful jaws (mine once chewed through a golf ball) and an indomitable courage. Don't let that make you think these are not great family pets though as stories were told that in the old days injured fighting dogs were actually ...  Read the complete review

Express Review on Staffordshire Bull Terrier

staffordshire bullterriors are the most amazing breed i have ever seen in my opinion. They are lovable, friendly, kind and playful. I have two a bitch and a dog they are my babies, i have no children but believe me they are mine. I cant say that i have ever seen a nasty side to any of them not towards humans or other dogs, they are scared if u can believe that, i dont no how people can describe them as they do, nasty fighting dogs!! no way dont believe that for a second. i adore the ground they walk on, they sleep with me, ride in the car with me, go for walks together and when i need them most they are there faithful x

A staffordshire bull terrier is a smooth, short haired dog of medium size and of the terrier breed. It is related to the bull terrier, they often have a bad reputation for being violent, but I have had several Staffies in my life and never has one shown violence towards me or to anyone else. They do have a tendency to dislike other animals though, ...  Read the complete review

I'm on to my 3rd Staff now, over a 25 year period and I have learned a few things about them. Although historically bred by the men of the black country for fighting they are great family pets. Like all terriers they are extremely intelligent and so learn commands, house training etc very quickly. They are very energetic and so require a lot of ...  Read the complete review

My own dog is a Staffordshire bull terrier and i really couldn't have wished for a more loving dog, her name in Nala (out of the Lion King) she is all white with one brown ear. I given her as a Chrismas present two years ago when she was aged 10 months old (her last owners had to let her go because of a break up). I find my staffie is very smelly when he has chicken might help others . Diesel is a very quiet dog only gives about two barks a year he is 12 1/2years old now and has cataracts same as his sire had we got him at 15months as his owner had to get another home for him and he was getting over a broken leg at the time. He was frightened of a rolled up paper when we got him but now carries the paper home from the shop if given it.He was a lap dog in his younger days i could not sit down but he was on my lap.

I own and reside with two Staffies, a male and a female and wanted to write about my experiences with them to help the reader decide if this is the dog for them. The Staffie is a highly intellignent breed of dog. They quickly learn commands if you are consistend, and my sister's female staffie can 'roll ove' and 'shut the door'. I've been around dogs my entire life and i know that they are not without their faults (much like us humans). However, Staffordshire Bull Terriers are the most gentle natured breed out there and are not to be confused with Pitbull's who can sometimes look similar (although anyone with a shred of knowledge can tell these breeds apart easily). The Staffordshire Bull Terrier dog is often mis judged as being a nasty dog, I think due to it's appearance maybe. The dogs that I know are a soft as butter and mostly family pets. They are loyal and protective and have a good defensive bark on them which would deter people from robbing your house, hopefully! They usually weigh around ...  Read the complete review

I'm quite fed up with all the bad press Staffordshire Bull Terriers get - it's not the dog, its the owner! EVERY dog has it in them to snap, its their nature! Staffies just get publicised more for it! My Staffie, Rolo, is actually the biggest, softest lump you can ever imagine! Staffie's are quite small dogs in height, though often wide ...  Read the complete review

What can I say about the Staffordshire Bull Terrier apart from they are arguably the most loyal, loving dog you can get. I could talk about Staffordshire Bull Terriers all night long, I have one Jess, she's 5 now and the apple of my eye. She is so loving and loyal and a typical example of her breed.
