Marine fish are not for the faint of heart. These spectacularly beautiful creatures are also spectacularly expensive, oweing to the fact that most of them cannot yet be bred in captivity and so have to be trapped in the wild and shipped over...this also creates other problems. Wild animals always have trouble adjusting to captivity and fish are no different....the stress of being depressurised and flown halfway across the world to a small tank, then bought, shoved into a plastic bag and moved into another small tank, is sometimes too much for them.
