Middle rocket blaster
My husband owns a Giottos middle air rocket Rocket blaster. I have watched him use it many times. I have also used it myself. The Giottos rocket blaster is available as a small rocket or a large rocket too.
It's amazing how much dust you can get on your camera lens, viewfinder, and digital sensor. It's annoying if you take a picture and your camera has dust on the lens as naturally you get speck all over your photograph.
Let me describe the Giotto middle air rocket blaster it looks identical to the picture dooyoo has found.
Hubby has owned his rocket blaster for a couple of years now it is still in very good condition. This is a manual tool has no batteries.
This rocket feels good in the hand it fits well into a mans hand and my hand (I have not got a delicate and lady like hand) The Sqeezy rubberised bulb feels substantial. When you squeeze it hard t to remove that stubborn piece of dust, it delivers a powerful blast of air to remove that stubborn piece of dust. It does not feel like you are going to break the rubberized bulb. If you have normal strength in your hands you will have no problem squeezing it but maybe if you have arthritis or have weak hands you might find it difficult. The rubberised bulb is quite firm and resilient this means you can easily vary the strength of the blast
The length of neck of the rocket air blaster can easily and manageably direct the air where you want it to go .There is no fear of damaging the lens as you can use it at a little distance away and still remove dust. This does not touch lens surface like a cloth when you are cleaning the lens so this means no risk of scratching. Better than cans of air, as it's possible the propellant can leave a residue on the sensor of digital SLR cameras, this my husband knows to his cost as it was very expensive to repair. Cans of air are perfectly safe if you are just using on Lenses
There are no sharp edges so you will not scratch the lens.
The base is flat and has those little supports so when you put it down properly down nozzle in the air no dirt will get on the nozzle to risk getting dirt on your lens.
My husband usually cleans his equipment before he goes out. The middle sized rocket blaster maybe a bit big to carry if you are just taking your camera in its small case. If you have a case for your camera and the entire additional lens you might need then it will fit fine.
On Amazon a new Giotto's air blaster cost about £11-12 at http://www.fotosense.co.uk/manufacturer_results.as p?oldID=55&ID=276&tabID= it costs £6.49p
Summary: A tool for blowing air to clean photography equipment .
