Advantages: Small, stylish and great protective case
Disadvantages: Cost
Upon buying my DSC-U i found that because it so small i needed a protective case for it, to keep it from getting scratched.
This is the perfect companion being only 5.5 cm x 5 cm x 9.3 cm, so basically slightly larger than the camera itself.
The case is made from a black nylon, with a cushioning padded feel to it.
The flip open flap is secured using velcro making it easy to open and close.
The flap also incorporates Sony's Cybershot logo on a chrome badge, which is a nice touch.
The inside of the case is soft and is finsihed with a soft velour style material. This is to ensure your camera body and screen are kept in pristine condition and not scratched.
There is also a small puoch inside to i suppose hold a memory stick but i find this to be too tight a fit, and have never put a memory stick in their. Quite pointless really.
The case hardly weighs anything so you do not notice any extra weight with the camera. There is also a hole through the flap as well to allow the neck strap through it.
not only that but the case has a belt clip on it too. Helpful if you wnated to clip it on to any number of things.
The only problem with the case is its price. I found it to be quite expensvie, but in its defence its the only case available for the camera.
This is the best compact case for one of the smallest digital cameras available.
Summary: A really good little case that protects the camera excellently.
